Julia has been recognized with numerous local, regional, and international awards. In July of 2022, she was the first woman in the KY-IN-OH Tri-State Region to become an Endeavor Entrepreneur – an international recognition for founders building high-growth companies making an impact on their regional economies. She has also been recognized on the 2023 Bizwomen 100 list, the 2023 Healthcare Hero list, as a 2020 Vogt Award recipient, and most recently, as a winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the East Central region.

Since incorporating RxLightning with her co-founder Brad Allen in early 2020, Julia has raised $20.5 million of capital from top-tier international healthcare investors including LRVHealth, McKesson Ventures, and Novartis Ventures. Julia’s strategic leadership and focus on developing groundbreaking solutions that improve access to care have led the organization to win 4 Mira awards in 2 years – making RxLightning the first organization to be a double-double back-to-back winner in the Mira Award’s 25-year history.  She was recognized as Women Enterprising of the Year in 2021 by Business First and was a recipient of the Vogt Award in 2020.  She holds an MBA in healthcare management from FIT and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and neuroscience from Temple University.  She lives in Greenville with her husband, Michael, and two children, Berkley and Cooper.

In her free time, Julia gives back to the community by serving on the local steering committee for the health equity innovation hub and supports the local start-up ecosystem. Her motivating force is to positively impact the industry and show her two children, Berkley and Cooper, that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
