“The first women in tech (WIT) conference was never meant to be an annual conference or a company thing. I was just tired of being the only female at IT events so I did something about it.”
Not long after this first event, Shannon left the IT company she was working for and was inspired to join the wedding industry—but she never forgot the energy and excitement felt at the first Women in Technology Louisville Conference. After a couple of years away from the IT industry, Shannon brought the conference back in 2018. Wanting to help women more than just once a year, Shannon started RockIT Women in 2020.
Shannon is passionate about helping women and connecting them with other women that can help them right where they are!
