Championing Women in Tech & a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Strategy
Presented by: Moderator: Jordin Kirk, Ahead
Panel includes: Mpho Komanyane, Michelle Kahan, Bonnie Kane, Erica Hawkins, Ahead
On this panel we have featured women from across our organization that strive to be a champion for other women in IT. The topics we will cover include:
Why Women are Important in STEM - Bonnie Kane will discuss how women can use their strengths to grow in STEM and what you can do to help your organization hire more women!
How to Launch your IT career with Launch Associate, Erica Hawkins
What AHEAD is Doing to Support Women in the Workplace - Michelle Kahan will cover the mission of our ERG, Moving Women AHEAD, and details about our internal mentorship program (open to all!) enhancing the overall company culture.
Establishing company-wide strategic initiatives to build Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) - Organizations, communities and social circles are having conversations about DEI and this has brought it to the forefront of many employers. What we know based on studies is that organizations that implement DEI assessments and strategies enable a high performing, innovative culture. More importantly organizations in the Tech industry, although playing catch up in many cases, recognize that investing in DEI is the right thing to do.
