“The first women in tech (WIT) conference was never meant to be an annual conference. I was just tired of being the only female at IT events so I did something about it.”

Not long after this first event, Shannon left the IT company she was working for and was inspired to join the wedding industy—but she never forgot the energy and excitement felt at the first Women in Technology Louisville Conference. So in 2017 Shannon created Fehr Event Group and started working on the second WIT event!

The success of the second and third WIT conference led Shannon to start RockIT Women. RockIT Women is all about propelling women in IT and giving them the tools they need to succeed.

“I am so very blessed to be able to do what I love every single day! I have been planning events for 14 years now and each event is special in it’s own way!” When Shannon is not planning events, you can find her hanging out at a lake somewhere with her family or trying to talk her teenagers into doing something with her! Shannon live’s in the sunny side of town in Georgetown, Ind., but was born and raised in Louisville, Ky, and is a proud alumna of University of Louisville. Go Cards!
