Maggie Harlow is a born-and-bred entrepreneur with a heart that beats for her hometown of Louisville! Raised in a family where business was the family sport and community service was the family tradition, Maggie got her start learning the ropes at her family’s car dealership. There, she discovered that a dash of hard work mixed with a big scoop of optimism is the secret sauce for success.

When her dad hung up his keys, Maggie was ready to steer her own course. Together with her husband and partner-in-crime, Brian, she opened Signarama Downtown Louisville in 2003. From those early days of winning over customers one handshake at a time, Maggie has grown the business into a local powerhouse—always with a side of generosity and community spirit. Her team is legendary for their “above and beyond” customer service and top-notch quality.

But Maggie’s impact doesn’t stop at her storefront. She’s a trailblazer in the sign industry, launching the “Signs of Support” give-back program (now a nationwide movement among Signarama franchisees!) and earning the title of Franchisee of the Year from the International Sign Association in 2019. You’ll also find her sharing her wisdom as a regular columnist for Sign of the Times magazine.

Never one to stand still, Maggie’s latest adventures include inspiring audiences as a speaker, flexing her creative muscles as an author and visual artist, and making waves in her community. She’s a familiar face in Louisville’s nonprofit and civic circles, lending her energy and expertise to organizations like GLI, Metro United Way, Kosair Charities, and The Happy Birthday Park, among many others. Her leadership has earned her board seats at Jefferson Community and Technical College and the Louisville City Football Club and Racing Foundation. In 2023, she was inducted into the Junior Achievement Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame—an honor she holds dear.

Her most recent endeavor is launch of her professional speaking venture, Maggie Harlow & Associates where she hopes to help inspire and cultivate leadership thinking and bold living.

Of all her roles, Maggie’s proudest is serving as the Executive Director of the Jack Harlow Foundation, where she champions causes close to her heart. At home, she and Brian are the proud parents of Jack (yes, that Jack Harlow—global rap superstar!) and Clay, a rising music producer whose beats have even landed on Jack’s tracks. The Harlow crew still calls the Highlands neighborhood of Louisville home, surrounded by family and the community they love.
