Crystal has more than 15 years of enterprise security and technology leadership experience. She is a transformational leader who has spent her career building engaged and effective teams. As a true people-focused leader, Crystal knows that the key to success, especially within a modern cybersecurity team, is ensuring that there is an environment in which diversity of thought thrives, everyone experiences genuine belonging, and resilience is safely cultivated. She is a seasoned professional with a passion for managing the execution of extensive projects with precision, strategically tailoring security solutions to meet business needs, and controlling risk and costs by implementing governance structures that drive secure-by-design programs and streamlining processes.

Crystal currently serves as the Director of Security Risk and Compliance at Papa Johns International and has led security teams and infrastructure architects and engineers at GE Appliances and Norton Healthcare for the past eight years. She also spent many years in consulting at RFX Technologies, where she worked to deliver customized security and technology solutions to hundreds of organizations in nearly every business vertical across the US.

Crystal completed her undergraduate education at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, and attained her MBA in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. She holds CISM and CISSP certifications, as well as many Microsoft, Google, AWS, CompTIA, ITIL, and HDI certifications and awards. Crystal deeply values continuing education in technology and has served as a member of the KCTCS Computer & Information Technologies Advisory Board for the last ten years. In her free time, she is an avid runner and endurance athlete working on her goal of running a Half Marathon in all 50 states.
